Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

This world-renowned, 105,000-square-foot outpatient treatment facility, featured in Architect Magazine, is located in the southwest corner of the Nassau Events Center, home to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

The project involved the construction of a state-of-the-art, two-story cancer center designed to provide comprehensive oncology care. The facility houses advanced radiology services, lymphedema treatment, infusion therapy, and a cutting-edge radiation oncology department equipped with three LINACs, with the capacity to add a fourth. Additional features include a laboratory, quick-treatment areas, office and administrative spaces, as well as a welcoming public lobby and waiting areas.

A key architectural highlight is the strategic use of natural light, with central lightwells and skylights illuminating much of the interior, fostering a calming and healing environment.

Founded in 1884, Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center, with 24 locations across the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area. Renowned for its exceptional patient care and groundbreaking research, MSK is designated as a comprehensive cancer center by the National Cancer Institute, reflecting its leadership in the fight against cancer.
